Character Sheet for Chalcedony Kainite
Nickname(s)
Chalky
Sex/Gender
Male
Species
Sableye (Darkness Pokemon)
Age
304,566
Personality
Chalky is very chivalrous and gentlemanly, which compliments his intelligence and British accent flawlessly. However, his time in Team Rocket has left him prone to deceitfulness and even greed at times, though he is trying to change that. Boasting may be added to that list, too, as he often takes any chance he can get to appear more knowledgeable than others around him, quoting and referencing human literature, riddles, Chinese proverbs, and the like, knowing full well that no one knows what he's talking about. He also uses lots of “big words,” as well as keeping a certain fluent subtlety to his movements and gestures out of habit. It's the kind of movement that keeps you a little on-edge because of how easily it can go undetected due to its slowness, but it could also just be that he's very graceful and mild-natured. To add further confusion, he has a smirk that could be taken as either sinister or charming, odd though it sounds. (look above and to the left)
Background/History
Chalky has always tried to find all kinds of ways to gain knowledge and exercise critical and strategic thinking, planning, deducing, and reasoning. Even as a child, he loved chess, Sudoku, Rubix cubes, riddles, and the like, once he'd been taught how to do them. Later on, he learned human mathematics and and how to read their language, though he could never quite get the hang of speaking it. Instead, he settled for being very wordly in his own language. Regardless, he soon became fascinated with reading, especially novels and poems of the horror, fantasy, and mystery genres, and often found himself stealing from the library near where he'd made his home. He never got caught.

He also loved classical music and theater, and especially preferred to listen to anything with a violin in it than anything else. He would sometimes sit in the back outside of gourmet restaurants to listen to the music played near the outside tables.

About 30 years ago, he was engaged in a battle with a Team Rocket executive, who found the Sableye to be a formidable force in battle with both his genius strategic tactics and Prankster ability to deploy them properly. Chalky was captured because of this.

For 20 years or so, he did his trainer's bidding without a single complaint, finding an odd thrill in crime. He viewed it as a game of wits to see whose mind was superior: the thief or the law. While he was never flat-out evil, he did tend to lose his sense of right and wrong at times, and did many things he'd currently say he's not proud of. At the time, though, he loved his job and the outfit that came with it, and even grew close enough to his trainer that he adopted the man's British accent. Everything was good, for a time.

But eventually, during one heist, his trainer was shot for resisting the authorities, and was killed. Chalky was lucky enough to escape, but the event made him reflect on all the wrong he'd done, and he became extremely remorseful.

With nowhere to go, and nothing to look back to, he vowed to himself that he would change, somehow redeem himself, and start anew elsewhere. He would travel far away, so far even that Team Rocket would be unheard of at his destination. For 3 years he traveled without stopping, often crossing large bodies of water by stowing away on ships. Eventually he reached a place where there were no human inhabitants, and instead Pokemon held domain.

Assured that no one there had ever even heard of Team Rocket, Chalky settled there. Soon, however, he found that the crime rate in the area was rather high. He immediately saw the chance he'd been looking for, and signed up to become an exploration team member under the guild of a Salamence who went by Wyvern. Chalky was assigned a Lampent who'd been in a few exploration teams already—each of which had broken up due to dissension—for a partner, named Paschel.

The rest will likely be told through fanfiction at a later time.
Body
A little on the tall side for his species. Has very fluffy and soft fur. His eyes are made of a somewhat rare green chalcedony, and he has red spinel on his chest. On his back are malachite, emerald, and quartz.

EDIT: TETRI5 IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE BACKSTORY/HISTORY, BUT I'M NOT GOING TO CHANGE IT, SO JUST READ BOTH CHALKY'S AND TETRI5'S.

Mostly just a wardrobe change and some added character details. And I made him a few thousand years older lolwhut

Habits – Still hold the habits of reading and playing logic and puzzle games. His new favorite is Bejeweled.

Body – A little on the tall side for his species. Has very fluffy and soft fur. His eyes are made of a somewhat rare green chalcedony, and he has red spinel on his chest. On his back are malachite, emerald, and quartz.

Relatives/Family – none to speak of

Trivia – Initially, I only created this character because when Hot-Gothics made the suggestion for a gay Sableye OC, she almost said “syphilis” instead of “Sableye.” Originally, she was going to make the Lampent OC that is now Paschel, but then decided she didn't want to, so I got DarkerSounds to do it instead. I couldn’t decide between a Team Rocket backstory and a Mystery Dungeon backstory, so I combined the two. Chalky’s appearance is very similar to that of both Gem and Bloodstone. A lot of the inspiration for this character comes from the Sherlock Holmes movies.

Quotes Worth Reading: “Chalcedony Kainite, leader of the top exploration team operating under the fin establishment that is Wyvern's guild. Presently, I go by “Chalky.” And you are?” (Chalky introducing himself to a client, as illustrated above and to the left)

Sexual Description – Bisexual, but only is he's on top. More experienced with females. Likes to wear the wrist cuffs and necklace during.

Poor Chalky.
He's got a cute butt, when he's invariably compared to Bloodstone...
There's just no contest.

Well that goes for everyone but hey, at least he's better-looking than Gem.

You think?
I am of a different opinion.
I mean, Gem is crass and you could count his ribs from across the room, but I find him more appealing than Chalky.
Though that's more based on personality, Chalky being bisexual and a former criminal, and Gem being straight and adorable.

But Chalky's so romantic and a gentleman and FLUFFY. Plus the British accent!

Gem has... Gemness.

Chalky was a bad guy.
He's dead to me.
DEAD. (lol ghosttype)
Gem is adorable, and has a crush on his brother, how can I resist?

Ha ha ha ha! XD
No, I kid, but Gem's grumpiness is more appealing than Chalky's charm.
Gem's personality just makes me wanna scoop him up and make everything better.
Chalky just strikes me as sleazy.

I could go on four hours about how bass-ackwards that is...

Yes yes, I know.
But it's just the emotional impression I get, it has little to nothing to do with facts. XP
('for hours' or alternatively, 'for four hours'.)

Well... to make sure this message is SHORTER than ten hundred thousand words, I'll just say "You'll see" and leave it at that.

Personally, I like this reference better than the new one. Mostly because of that grin.
