Something I doodled when I was bored. Was just Xai at first, and then I added melody for a bit more atmosphere and plot. Then I decided to give it a unique theme and made it like a classic button pushing level In a game XD inspired by the scene in this really old jungle book kids game on GBA where you have to tap the buttons to try and defeat kaa. This is also somewhat of a remasterign of this http://temaki.webplus.net/1st%20encounter%20near%20sle... which as you can see is terrible old and jsut plain terrible. But I liked how I drew the wrap around melody XD everything else SUCKED Anyway I like this pic so I WILL count it as a remastering of that since I like everything here and hated almsot everythign about that old one. Except with this one it’s the other way around. Melody and xai are in each other’s shoes. Anyway this is inspired by something I daydream about... A game where you make a naku character and go around foraging for food and gathering materials and supplies, as well as socialising and training your three stats (willpower, concentration and strength) and then have to try and fend off snakes. You can attack them and if you’re lucky they wont catch you but usually they try to hypnotize you. Not sure weather it’s actually possible to win and break free though. A friend comes to rescue you if you hold out long enough
So Xai here is loosing concentration fast while the snake is at full power (represented by the little dots) and he is about to loose his last life and melody wont even help him XD someone help me! I need cheet codes lol.
Additional idea: The game's QTEs aren't all that hard, but the game tries to encourage those playing it to not put any effort into pushing the buttons...

yeah that's pretty unavoidable for hypnosis fans like us XD you'd just want to siiit baaack and let the characters get mesmarized. and maybe resist a little bit just for fun lol i'd LOVE a game like this.

yeah well i figured it would be quite dynamic because of those little dots you see under the bar there? the snake starts with none and it goes up throughout the "battle" and how much you start with depends on how much you train up one of their stats i cant remember which. so even a low level battle which with a higly trained character would be a piece of cake, even if left for a while it would still provide a challenge. so i think i nsome enemies it would be hard, especially close to the jungle, but with some it would be more easy and casual like

I'm still not certain my point is getting through, and apologize if I'm being unclear. The game attempts to relax and slightly hypnotize the player, so as to make them fail the otherwise relatively easy button pressing bits.

that would just happen anyway. i think it would be better if it actually gave players a challgenge most of the time until they train up their characters a bit. they can give up and let them loose if they want inthat case and they would have fun actually trying in other times. don't forget it's the victim resisting a little bit that makes hypnosis fun 83
