Mmm the bullet seems to have gone clean through the head, which actually is probably better for Jonesy (or, well.. depends on whether or not she'll want to be alive with whatever is in store for her later on) at least in the current moment's point of view. With a bullet leaving cleanly, as opposed to ricocheting all around her skull, she probably hasn't sustained substantial damage. All the more so since the shot was through her forehead, meaning the parts of the brain that are in the bullet's path aren't the most vital-for-life. So I guess she might just owe her life to the fact that the officer (whose gun this originally was) was using full-metal-jacket bullets. And as
mentions, there does seem to be a lack of blood, so it either did not hit any major blood vessels... or most of the bleeding is internal, so the blood will flow into the area between the brain and the skull... and she'll die from the mounting pressure onto her brain

for a handgun shot that went through without stopping, the wound channel will be massive, since the bullet displaces a lot of tissue that has mainly water consistency at a very fast pace. the hydrostatic shock is very likely to rip parts her brain appart on the inside of her skull. just watch a youtube slomo vid on what a 9mm does to a block of balistic gel... let alone a .45 or a fiveseven... not to mention that most law enforcements in the US use hollow points, which create even wider wound channels
TL,DR: there is no comming back from a headshot that passes all through the skull shes dead, Jim
very unlikely for a handgun shot that went through without stopping, the wound channel will be mass
It's of course not something you would just shrug off and go - alright, I'll rub some dirt on it and it'll be fine. However, there have been plenty of examples of extensive brain trauma being survivable. And indeed hollow points are more widely used by law enforcement, but I would not expect a hollow point to leave through the back of the head as it was seen to do in the previous page. I think the situation here is somewhat favorable for Jonesy.
