Even in victory, there can be no dignity for Ash. There's always going to be something to set him back, whether it be his string of consistent and disappointing losses, or the one win he's got being undercut by his next adventuring buddy thanks to the unrelenting humiliation of being discovered wearing diapers. He wore a pair of shorts a size too big today and they just came down. Oh well. To be fair, it seems Gou here is wearing pants a bit too big for him too.

It's kind of amusing to imagine all the trainers in Pokémon games, spending such long hours in wilderness paths with no restrooms, all wearing diapers to give them an edge in stalking that rare capture, or just in case they get injured in those ways.
