Here are a bunch of pictures and models that I never finished but I thought might be interesting. Some were shared on Twitter at some point. They're in chronological order starting with late 2018.
Do you have thoughts about any of these? I'd love to hear about it!
1) Pink yoshi flexing: Doing some pose practice helped me get through a rough time in 2018. This was one of my favorites of the poses I did.
2) Hamlet Yoshi 1: More pose practice. I thought Yoshi recreating a Hamlet scene would be fun. I really missed an opportunity to draw a goofy face on that egg.
3) Hamlet Yoshi 2: Now he's just over acting.
4) Egg seat: I guess I wanted to make something on the spicy side of SFW. I liked the rear view of this picture much better, so that's the one I shared.
5) Yoshi in socks: A quick experiment with modeling socks. It could probably look okay with some polish.
6) Cinnamon concept: An attempt at an updated version of Cinnamon, but I got discouraged.
7) Tidal wolf concept: An attempt at modeling my husband's character, but I got discouraged again. I think while trying to add more "realistic" anatomy to my sculpts I got away from the simpler shapes I prefer. I want to make a 2nd attempt at this.
8) Brown yoshi: To study proportions I made like 7 different yoshis early last year. This was one I liked.
9) Orange yoshi: Another variation on proportions with a more simplified style. I was thinking of Danny Devito when modeling this.
10) Wind-up pose: Made for a reference which I ended up not using. I like the pose though. This one shows my rigging controls.
11) Valentines Cinnamon: Something I made for Valentines but I didn't have time to render, so this is a color-corrected screenshot. The washed out colors and extremely old model bother me.
12) Cooking over easy: Cookie (my yoshi OC) is a cook so I wanted pictures of him cooking. What would a yoshi cook with? I sketched some ideas I liked but got too lazy to model them. Maybe I'll finish this later.
13) Cooking a whole egg: Well I thought it was funny anyways..
14) Peeking: A random pose I thought would be cute. It's hard to find a camera angle that makes this interesting though.
