This was just a random idea I had pop into my head and became a little obsessed with finishing XD I could have improved the design a lot by going into it with a more organised approach and actually drawing the character *then* putting the clothes and everything on. Instead I was going it by ear a bit. Also triedway too hard making a backgroudn that actually blended well with the character tone wise but just because I really wanted to show off the shiny sword blade XD I should have also not included the whole hilt and everything on the second one because it makes it look like it's two nagamaki's and not just one version with the scabbard on and one without. I'll probably adjust her proportions and anatomy next time I draw her if at all. I also don't know if I really got the character to look how I wanted, but I was going off of an abstract idea I had for a while now of a character in a different setting who, after being transformed into a drider, and living with them for a while, decided to go back to adventuring and fasioned herself a pretty but practical outfit fitting for a drider. her rear half had armor plates on it and sometimes she'd bash with her rump XD but here it looks like it'd be a really impractical attack to do so either I drew her shape wrong or my brain was skipping some anatomical laws when imagining that happening haha should maybe have had a touch more black on her dress on the rear too over the wall of purple fabric there, and/or more armor plates to balance it out. it was really hard getting the armor to look right and in the end it still came out looking real stupid XD
But hey maybe I'm getting a *little* better at character design at least! I also went way overboard than would normally be sensible with details. I guess in the back of my mind trying to emulate Akihiko Yoshida
