I got into it because I heard it was popular among my demographic. Found that I liked the show, but eventually lost interest. It's really amusing, some of the pop culture references that there is no Earthly way a kid would get(like the old Incredible Hulk show or The Big Lebowski)

I started watching episodes of the show earlier this year. If I watch one episode a day, it'll take me almost 9 months to watch every episode. But, as I've watched it, I've found it pretty good and funny. It seems to be getting funnier as the episodes go by. (I'm currently at season 2, episode 7.) I've liked most of the revelations I've seen so far, i.e. Rarity's parents speak with a Hispanic accent, Pinkie's family look(ed) Amish, and AJ tried to make a living in the big city, to name a few.
