Ken is not your typical run of the mill Buizel. He always loved to tinker and play around with Electronics, which in his earlier years rewarded him with a lot of "accidents" which slowly made him a lot more resilient towards electric attacks compared to most other water types.

At some point though, Ken unfortunately took his curiosity a little bit too far as he tried to scavenge some parts at a long abandoned power plant which was already home to a local gang of Magnemites and Magnetons.

Seeing him as nothing but a trespasser, the gang of magnet Pokemons attacked him. Forcing Ken into a fight which sadly also garnered the attention of the gangs leader. An unnaturally large Magnezone who gave Ken his forehead scar.

Badly bruised and beaten, Ken’s unconscious form was quickly thrown out from the Magnemites territory and simply left out their on the road too slowly die from his injuries. Luckily for him though, a human quickly found Ken and brought him over to the nearest Pokemon Center to be patched up.

Feeling a great sense of gratitude for saving his life like that, Ken has since then decided to travel along with his new human companion to travel the roads of this world as a duo. He even gifting Ken with a set of tools and equipment to encourage his unusual interest towards electricity and fondness towards electronics.

For now, Ken has been learning how to even repair certain gadgets such as phones or even Pokedexes while also modifying his gloves to absorb and store electrical attacks from other Pokemon.

Though despite all of his good fortunes. Ken has never forgotten his encounter he had with those Magnemites and their leader. One day, he will return to that place and have his revenge. When that day will come is still unknown though. Only time can tell.
