It's finally here everyone. A new Dense Installment!
But what's this? A new storybook format?
Indeed!
Some of you may remember that a year ago for the 3 Year Anniversary I made mention of us attempting a new format soon that would allow me to post longer stories without the need to edit them down for comics while also not needing to suffer because people want pictures. Well, the time has finally come to see how it works.
This was a short story that was supposed to be a comic, but we decided to use it to test the format. So what I need from you dear reader, is feedback.
How do you feel about this new format? Are there any particular issues you see with it? Do you know a way it can be done better?
Really any bit of feedback will help us develop this new format more, so don't be shy with comments.
Did you like the content of this post? (If 'Sort Of' please explain in a comment) 1- Yes 2- No 3- Sort of
Yes. I can't believe that George's mother is a scientist. That is really unexpected. Wonder how she feels about all the mischief her son gets into (such as the time he lost his pants to a tree branch and was left naked from the waist down) and his lack of nudity taboo...

What doesn't seem right is much of blank white areas everywhere. Maybe pics could be enlarged & arranged with (more) text in away it would look compact on a page? Also, not liking how pics look like cutouts of normal drawings & then placed "hovering" above the sheets with text. Unless that's exactly how you wanted, such style could be reworked to something like pics having blurred edges so they would better transit to white paper, sorta how Cailou cartoon looks like.

To pull back the curtain, what you're seeing are screenshots of a Word Document. Xierra made the images completely separately and I fiddled around with Word to insert the images into the doc, eventually landing at this end result. There were several options, but due to this being a purely on the fly experiment, I chose the drop shadow option since it looked the least odd-looking out of all the options I had available.
We've all read your comment and are planning accordingly for the next Storybook post.
