Decided to try practicing some head styles and a couple simple expressions to help branch out a bit from my standard neutral one. From left to right it's my current style, Doug Winger, Limebreaker, Crystal-for-ever, and then some random picture I had saved whose artist I forgot to note. Sorry! Also decided to start utilizing scraps more.
I'm definitely trying to make my own heads and faces more appealing, but I'm trying to find a balance between that and anatomical correctness - especially so I can make different species recognizable. Most of them ended up a bit more cartoony or stylized than I want to go, but I do really like number 4. Crystal-for-ever does some really nice things with hair that are a bit above my skill level, but I do really like.
