Wondering how you meant by "first physical body"
besonik

Nether Dragons don't naturally have physical bodies and can only maintain one through a bond to a host (which is why the body takes on traits of the host).

A snake inspired Nether would be interesting!

Can this be a thing? o.o
How would a snek go about acquiring a Nether?
besonik
If the snake has enough mass in it's body to support the nether then it's definitely possible. That would depend, how intelligent is the snake (can it talk and rationalise like a human)?
CandySnake

Yeah, she's sapient, and...I guess a ten-foot snek might be big enough?  *blep*

More than enough =P

:D
Then how does a snek acquire one?
besonik

Monumendo world wise, a Druid would bind a nether dragon to the snake.

Art wise, I design them as either single small pieces or as part of character sheets.

Man, now I really need to find a way to save some spare change...

I was hoping to see this.  You have Breath or Wild, but then you have Breath of Nether.  Smells like mint and spruce needles with a hint of eel ;-)

Yeah, part of the delay for all of chapter 4 was getting this scene in particular right. Originally I had the process spread across a few pages, and it felt disjointed. This version is vastly superior.
