This is a redraw and comparission between my art of old and more of new, A Draw This Again meme in other words. The art I have redrawn was the chibi for Reji as I was using it as my icon on DeviantArt for my photography account. This is eight years of progress, constant dedication and practice of seriously drawing art for 8 years.
Eight years ago is when I started off working in art in a more proffessional environment. I spent many years taking the time to practice, taking the time to learn, study. I did not magically become good at art, is what I am saying. What it took was my own will to want to become better in art. Cast aside any self loathing, because that will do nothing but strangle you. Post. Draw, Post your art more, Draw some more. Try out this and that!
Some thing that have helped me in art has been many things from going to streams of artists and asking them how they do something, checking out speedpaint videos, looking at tutorials, playing with my art programs, and visiting help videos. The two things I think helped the most were Gesture drawing and actually using Photography for reference. Brains are dumb, so please take care to remind them what creature you are drawing actually looks like.
