There is a serious question (and maybe only the mexicans will understand)... What would to do our ancestors about the actual "tlatoani"?

I am pretty sure they would sacriface him or send him to the Popocatepetl... just for in case the gods would be angry.

Who knows? for the love of Tonantzin, Curicaberi, Shataranga and maybe Quetzalcoatl... and of course the new foreign god arrived with the spaniards I really hope all change for the future, or I´m afraid everything will end soon. :v

Me encanta la fidelidad! Odio un poco cuando muestran las ciudades grises o color piedra, aaah como les encantaba pintar todo de colores brillantes!. Y la corona como relamente era y no los penachos exagerados que se suelen ver en google xD

De hecho creo que ni el penacho era de Moctezuma el que está en Austria.  :v

Pues la verdad me fui buscando referencias de diferentes fuentes, tengo unas revistas de historia mesoamericana y otras ilustraciones que son las que uso para mis dibujos de mesoamérica, y para las pirámides tuve que improvisar un poquito... soy malísimo dibujando edificios, es algo estresante la verdad.  xD  No es exactamente el Gran Templo de Tenochtitlán, pero traté de darle ese aire y también a Teotihuacán.

Pero me la pasé bien haciendo este dibujo.  :D

Me pregunto cuáles habrán sido los colores originales que usaron, siempre ha sido mi duda...

Se la pasan compartiendo contenido de ilustradores, artículos y todo sobre los aztecas con el mayor rigor posible, a veces comparten y desmienten imágenes que tenemos muy clavadas en la cabeza, como la de las vestimentas de los altos cargos. O por ejemplo marcando las inexactitudes de la nueva serie de Hernan.

Ahora nada mas me falta material de los purépechas, estoy preparando un "uarhukua", como no tengo vestimentas o referencias a cómo jugaban los purépechas... los personajes van a salir desnudos jugando. xD

No sabía que había una serie de Hernan Cortéz... tengo años que no veo nada de tele o series, y de pelis sobre mesoamérica la que más me gusta es "la otra conquista"... sobretodo por el soundtrack, está genial. :v

Not sure old and new rulers make actually much difference. There have been a lot of hypothesis as for the central america civilizations decline and disparition: climatic change, imported viruses and the likes, but we also know for sure that many faced the same plague we have now: a few rich, wealthy, ruling people totally disconnected from the very basic needs of the main population, finally leading to revolts, wars and abandon of big cities.
After all, humans have always been and will always been humans only.................................

Yeah depend of many things, however I was thinking on the actual situation of our mexican president and those things... example, he wants to raffle off the presidential jet (is a boeing 787 but modified for... a rich man, was bought for the other president before the actual one), since they couldn´t sell it now they want... with private corporations and with all population do this...

Yes, I understood you are talking about actual events in Mexico (I am aware of the facts you are mentioning), and I really feel deeply sorry for your situation, like also Venezuela and a couple other countries there... I sincerely hope you will get the ruler you deserve and rise again soon, nobody should ever live in such a situation nowadays.
