You were determined to catch that rare Gengar, so much that you didn't even notice the trouble you were in when it broke out of the first Ultra Ball you tossed at it.

You got out another ball, but just as you wound up for another throw, the Gengar's eyes glowed bright red and your body went still. That was the moment you realize what a terrible mistake you've mad.

You felt something wet on your shoulders and head. Was it raining? No, it was a clear night... and the wetness coming down on you felt heavier, thicker. The Gengar laughed, and you felt your body become limber again. You look down, and see a shiny blue substance all over your hands. It looks like liquid rubber, it feels pleasantly cool on your skin, but there's an underlying tingle, like little needles pricking at you. You flex your fingers under the stuff, watching as they shrink down, your hands turning into chubby little paws simply useless for grabbing anything.

The great ball drops on to the ground with a dull click, the blue latex spread up your arms and all over your chest, melting away your clothing under its sticky, corrosive touch. Something was growing out of your neck... as the rubber flowed down your hips, you find it harder and harder to stand with every passing second before you finally fall forwards with a loud crack ringing out from your spine. The rubber covers your legs in rippling waves, your feet turning into cute little hindpaws.

A finned tail sprouts from your lower back with a wet pop, you are about to cry out for help when the liquid rubber forms a hood over your head, silencing you.

You see only darkness and hear only silence until your eyes pop open again, looking up at the Gengar floating over you.

"Va...por...." You say. You try to say something, anything... but all that comes out is "vaporen"

The Gengar laughs at your predicament one last time before vanishing into the darkness. Your ears perk up. You hear a trainer approaching you.
