Character Sheet for Hālaʻi
Character Description
Hālaʻi is a heavy anthro Hawaiian monk seal. He owns and operates a laundromat and paints houses as a side hobby. When not running his store, Hālaʻi can be found resting or swimming down at the beach or around the town painting walls or challenging someone to a game of kōnane.
Personality
Hālaʻi is calm, loving, and generally content. He is also quite lazy and lounges around a lot not really doing anything. He also loves to hug and cuddle.
Likes/Dislikes
He likes swimming, talking, cuddling, sleeping, resting, reading, painting walls, and playing games. He dislikes arrogant tourists, insects, overly-hot days, lots of physical activity, and being tired.
Background/History
Hālaʻi grew up on the island of Kauaʻi helping his family run a tourist-focused convenience store and gift shop near the coast. He was into bike-riding and racing growing up but competitions became too costly so he strayed away from the hobby. When he was old enough he moved to a town further inland and eventually opened up his laundromat.
Body
Hālaʻi is rather obese and has grey skin overall with lighter grey on his belly and the insides of his arms and legs and darker grey at the ends of his flippers. He has brown eyes and has an expression tattoo on his back. He is 7'5" and weighs around 440 lbs.
Clothing
He usually wears loose shirts or collared Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts and sometimes wears flip-flops.
Accessories
He usually wears a local-made necklace with a spiral-shaped pendant made of bone and koa wood
