I do not understand men who want to be gelded ! It's irreversible and a life-changing fetish. Such get honorable mention in the Darwin Hall of Fame . (ask me about THIS !) .

This weirdo kinko pony seems to be a relative of Phar FigNewton, an Animaniac horse. Since I didn't like to watch Pinky & the Brain, I don't recall seeing him (maybe an episode where Brain, to win the money needed for some RubeGoldberg venture, enters a horserace ?)

Many guys don't want to make babies anyway and I think it's sweet in an odd way for a stallion to have himself gelded. Geldings can be so sweet and friendly anyway. I wasn't thinking of Pharfignewton when I created him. He was originally just a cynical (G1-2) MLP construct in the vein of, "what butt symbol (cutie mark) would a gelding have?" He's become more of a character in my canon and of course integrated into the FiM world.

If you think about it getting a tattoo of any other body modification is life changing. Castration is pretty drastic and affects the endocrine system and reproduction (Leonard has stored semen and in future canon has a husband and a daughter by a surrogate) and I guess it's a bit odd but RL eunuchs aren't nearly as unlikely as most people suppose.
