Finally, after days of wandering around the forest Dea, a self proclaimed botanist and alchemist, found the tree of Foedus, particular type of plant unknown to the science but a famous among legends and tales.
The Pale Tree seemed odd compared to lush flora that surrounded it, everything was blooming, thriving in this sunny weather except for Foedus. A bit disappointed to see that the plant appeared to be dead, Dea moved closer in order to examine it, perhpas there was something she could salvage. After few steps a breaking sound echoed through the forest and the very origin of it came out the tree. Excited to see that the tree wasn't all dead Dea stopped and observed. Slowly small cracks in tree's bark began to appear, and from the crevices slippy tentacles crawled out. Aimlessly writhing, they quickly began to fall to the ground under their own mass.
Dea stood there, in front of the plant, watching it closely; eventually it seemed like the tree felt her presence - the tendrils were moving at her direction, but as such slow pace that they were quite harmless, pathetic even. One of the thinner, smaller tentacles managed to get close to her face and, from what it felt like, stared at her for quite a while before eventually collapsing under Dea's paws. "Oh, you are really in a bad shame" she commented as moved on, even closer to the plant.
