A couple month old sketch I never finished and kept seeing in my new to-finish folder and just felt like lining it because I am trying to push myself back into drawing a little more. been hanging on to the wagon by a rope for a while now so sometimes I need a push X3

I also have been making a step towards this by addressing an issue with my art, the main reason it's so hard for me, being that it's just really tedious. In case you haven't noticed, by the sheer lack of it, I've been afraid to even try shading for a long time now, and I have also grown to hate lineart.
If you're not an artist, let me tell you, making an image is often broken up into various stages. in fact I'm positive this is true for most kinds of art. And between each stage is a bump. just a little hill to climb over to get to the next part. At first, when you have a lot of energy, or if you're just inspired or in a good art mood, on a motivation high... getting over these hills is easy. but the longer you go on the more shooting through this speed bump becomes harder and harder.
Going from sketching to lining is a huge push, and going from lining to shading is even harder.

BUT as I said I've been making strides, and rather than finding a way to cut line art out at all, I found a technique that has actually made it surprisingly fun for me now and I've actually been looking forward to doing it.
Lining does still mean slapping on a podcast and going on autopilot while you work but I've managed to put just enough creativity into my linework now that I love it almost as much as sketching.
Many people have told me over the years that they love my lines a lot and it is a big compliment and I do appreciate it, but I also feel like it is unearned as I only do these "super clean, crisp lines" because I literally can't think of any other possible way to make lines and my perfectionist-brain won't let a single pixel go astray in them.
But I always hated doing lineart so much cus it wasn't art, it was just a chore.

Anyone who's been following my Ask Spirit Wind blog on tumblr has already seen this new lining debuted here with this image onwards: https://sta.sh/016rez04vix5

In fact I discovered this lining style while drawing that picture as a happy accident resulting from fluffing up the sketch and realising a new way of adding weight to lines not just to show pressure and weight between body parts but also to more dynamically show shape represented.

Anyway thanks for reading my tangent about art stuff XD
Hope you like the dashie.

What's got you so perplexed, Dashie?
Maybe Twilight tried to explain something complicated to the poor girl again...

Your lines are really good and you deserve the praise. I mean it. You absolutely should feel proud of how far you've come. Line art IS art and it takes a lot of skill to get it to this point. This is great and I love her <3 You will get better as time goes by. Just know that you're not alone as far as art being a chore. It really does suck sometime but you got this done and did a great job. ^_^
