yes most people i see use the Thumbnail as a warning for what the images have.

Nah, Sometimes Thumbnails work as tease, that way you show just a small part of a Picture and if somebody gets curious it will make them click and watch the Pic, Thus, Giving it the chance to get more views, comments or Favs, Its Kind of s Strategy =3
