Sounds like a way to get taking the peoples choice about who they are alowed to count among themselves away and giving it to a bunch of lifestyle regulators.

It's not about taking away rights, but more-so about judging ones character instead of simply what they look like or identify as. It's about the person, not what they are that matters.
