I feel that this commission takes some sort of inspiration from the description of [name]Valdis[/name]' posted artwork: "To Thine Own Self".
As much as I enjoy seeing my mascot character go through the wringer of sex-induced shenanigans on a seemingly regular basis, I sometimes need images like this one to catch and remind myself that he isn't just another write-off character so overly devoted to sex (despite being half of a species that carries such a stereotype). A silly thing to even worry about through such an artistic platform, but it's always been a concern for me when one shares a number of traits with the other. So seeing him depressed or upset (as self-harming as it may be to him and me), taking other interests and whatnot gives me some clarity that I'm trying to do something right with him...hopefully to others as well.
