It has been 100 years today since Felix the Cat first debut. But for some reason, his coming of a Century hasn’t been acknowledged, so I set up a scene to how this has impacted him.
Every five to ten years Cartoon Characters and Video Game Characters celebrate their longevity on the days they first debut.
The longer the acknowledgment of being a decade older, shows how popular they still are.
Last Year the 90th Anniversary of Mickey and Minnie Mouse was celebrated worldwide all year round.
Therefore it was supposed to be the biggest celebration of the day A Cartoon Character makes it to 100 years. But for Felix the Cat, it has been barely mentioned.
Through almost the whole other year, he tried to remind other toons of his upcoming 100 birthday, they have been too busy attending some that have turned a decade older.
As his Birthday approached ever closer, he arrived at Scooby Doo’s Anniversary Party to try to remind them again as soon as the party was wrapping up but still, no one took him seriously due to the fact he wasn’t as popular as he used to be.
Then one of the toons, Bugs Bunny made a remark comparing him to Mickey “Ain’t none more popular or influential than Mickey right?” which offended Felix, causing him to snap.
“WRONG!!”
He kicks down the dessert tray in a fit of rage. Everyone stops to watch in shock as Felix storms towards the Exit door.
“Felix, Bugs didn’t mean it like that, he was just joking!” Mickey cries as he ran towards Felix reaching for the doorknob to grab his hand carrying his Special Bag only for him to yank it away.
“You still don’t get the gist of my situation!”
Felix got up at his face poking his chest.
“I’ve been around longer than you, yet everyone knows who you are!
Yeah, 20, 50, maybe 90 years is quite an accomplishment for you guys. But what about me? the Legendary Felix the Cat, making it to a whole century and no one seems to acknowledge it!
Spongebob then stepped in to reassure him. "But of course we know about your coming of age.”
Felix wasn’t convinced.
“Yeah well, the humans don’t seem to.
It’s not just something special to me, it’s actually a once in a lifetime thing!
It’s not every day a Cartoon Character reaches 100 years! I’m not getting any younger!
"We don’t age, Felix!” Woody interjects.
“WHATEVER!!”
Felix looks to all of the Toons with so much hurt.
“You guys owe me big time… all of you!!! Because none of you would have existed without my influence!
"Not you, or you, or them, NOT EVEN VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS WOULD BE HERE IF NOT FOR ME!!
He opens the door, stepping out but not before saying this…
"By the way… Congrats on your 20th anniversary Spongebob, and you on you’re 50th Scooby-Doo… But as for you Mickey, come back in ‘Ten More Years’, then we’ll talk!”
Then slams the door causing the other Toons to flinch.
