Character Description
Cale: Dark red fur, with long lighter red hair, usually tied into a braid. His eyes are a bright silver coloration, and otherwise he has the usual markings of a fox, including cream colored chest and belly. Brown paws and muzzle, and the usual tail coloration as well.
Jared: Bright silver and white coloration with short black hair with purple highlights. His eyes are purple with gold flecks in them, and his paws and right ear are colored a darker blue - almost violet - hue.
Personality
Cale is a very caring person, although he wasn't always like that. During college, as seen in his history, he only thought of himself. Now, however he has become his childhood self - the crusader of happiness and peace to all. Even though he may not have the happiest or most peaceful life himself.
Jared is a very sensitive person when you cut down to the meat of things. True he may have had a stint as "love for hire", but this was only due to poor choices in bad situations... Now with his brother he's beginning to feel the love he didn't have for several years, and it's beginning to show...

Background/History
A jisted history for these two could already take up the whole limit of characters...
The quick and dirty details however, are that Cale is not what he seems at first look. Jared however is your average fox in most aspects...
Cale: Half Demon, Half Angel Fox. He was born a half-angel out of wedlock, whose mother "died" during childbirth and was left to a very frazzled but well-meaning father. While Cale may not have had the perfect life with a single father, he soon found a step-mother and brother in Jared and his mother. The two were the typical brothers, constantly arguing and bickering, but somehow Cale found ways to win.
Jared: Became part of the Elahi family relatively early, being born out of wedlock much like Cale. He looked up to Cale even though he got on his nerves sometimes, but then when Cale left for college things took a turn for the worse. A car accident took the Elahi parents from the two boys, and Jared wound up sold into a child sex ring...
Cale: In college Cale gets news of his parents' deaths. He unofficially dropped out of college and rushed back to his hometown to settle affairs. He arrived home to find that life had just seemed less significant at this point. For a while he drifted, found a job, lived out of his car... and began his search for Jared.
Finding Jared proved to be a difficult task, and this is where a big change took place in his life. Due to a ritual, his soul was bonded with a demon's... however they didn't know about his angelic background. This caused an aberration in the magic, making the first hybrid between good and evil. Because of these powers he could find his younger brother who was still bereft at their parents' deaths.
He rejected Cale, but not by his own choice. The owner of the club had help from a supernatural source... it just so happened that fate had dealt its hand perfectly in this case...

World/Setting
In this world being a demon is not inherently evil. There is an offshoot of the demons in a section of Daemonum (the Demon World) known as the Badlands Demons, named as such due to the title of the area of Daemonum that they inhabit. These are the only Evil demons in existence, and the ones that happen to be the most powerful. The other denizens of Daemonum pay heed to a single man, King Regent.
Magic in this universe is split into two better known classes; Magicae Sanctum, Holy Magic, and Magicae Tenebris, Dark Magic. Obviously these are limited to Angels and Demons respectively. From there, the magic is molded into one of several elements. In Cale's case, it is Water magic.
The more a spell is cast in succession, the more it has an outward effect on the body. This is known as Magic Toxicity and can prove to be fatal to any mortal fur in very little time. An example would be casting Water magic again and again. The fur soon becomes brittle and frosted, and the user's core body temperature plummets to dangerous levels, initiating hypothermia.
