The young Boar, named DeSaun Victory represents the Machos, a group of students who reject their status as Sissies and take every opportunity to be boyish/manly. Most are easily recognized as Machos thanks to their obvious muscles and and they tend to wear gym clothes when not in class. Some also partake in steroids, testosterone, and genitalia enlargement pills in an effort to become more manly. Many Machos are in the Orphan Program. Some theorize that the rejection of their family is part of the reason why Machos are so driven to be manly.
The lithe Lion named Brandon "Brandy" Rook represents the Ready Girls. Ready Girls embrace their femininity to the point of wanting to get a sex change. They often wear outfits that are quite frilly, lacy, and overall more girly when not in class. They also tend to wear fake breasts and gaffs (undergarments that hide the dick and balls). Some indulge in estrogen, breast pills, and other female hormones to become more girly.
Brandy and DeSaun ran into each other one weekend. Brandy was running late for breakfast with his friends at a local restaurant and ran into DeSaun and his friends while they were heading to the gym. Brandy apologized profusely while DeSaun retrieved Brandy's purse for him. When they made eye contact, it was love at first sight. They stared at each other for a bit until DeSaun's friends were like "C'mon, bro!" DeSaun gave Brandy his purse and they parted ways. Next weekend, DeSaun found Brandy at the gym on a treadmill. Well, as a Ready Girl, he was planning on getting the surgery anyway. The legal gender thing is more about bathrooms anyway. All public bathroom require id to enter. A man can not enter the ladies' room and vice versa. So, for a trans person to use a different bathroom, they need to change their gender on their id. However, they can't change what their gender on their id without the paper work confirming that they've had a sex change, particularly the surgery to change their genitalia. This is in place to prevent sexual assault and rape in a place where many are vulnerable.

That's actually similar to how it is here in NC - you can't change your gender marker without bottom surgery. Not really to prevent us from getting raped in that case though, the south just isn't a great place for trans folks :P

Not to be rude, but I am still confused even after reading many of the comments. O.o
I'm just trying to understand, for it's to me not always made clear. I can see Brandon "Brandy" Rook is a guy by sex. Wanting to be thought of as a girl, enough to get a sex change.
I see a lot in the description of Brandy as a him. So for Brandy, is he a transgender? Or just a girly gay guy whom also rejects his sex, and want's to have a sex change?
And is DeSaun Victory a guy by sex also (for DeSaun looks to be to me), whom goes by the gender of a girl, but rejects the idea of being seen as a feminine girl, despite wanting to be thought of as female by others? Or is DeSaun a female by sex, whom had a full or partial sex change in rejection of being looked upon as feminine? I am very unclear about that.
As I said, I'm just trying to understand, not judge. The only thing I may be judgy with is how clear a person is, and how offended and judgy themselves a person might be with those whom may not agree with them, or just not understand them.
On a side note: I have recently had for myself a bit of a personal revelation regarding my past understanding of the word gender vs sex in meaning.
To me, it's good for a person to update their own knowledge base in light of new information, for better thought clarification and understandings. It helps prevent confusion, most of the time.

1) This is picture is part of a larger series about a world where feminine males are sent to a school to be trained to fill stereotypically female service roles (maids, nurses, nannies, secretaries, etc.). 2) This school requires students and staff to wear dresses as part of the uniform (at least in class) and the school has an overall feminine decor. 3) Brandy is part of a group of students who embrace the feminine lifestyle around them and plan on transitioning into girls in the future. 4) DeSaun is part of group of students who reject being feminine and try to be as manly as possible. 5) Brandy and DeSaun are both dudes at this current point in time. 6) Brandy is trans because he plans on getting a sex change, but uses male pronouns for legal reasons. 7) There is no point 7, but I'm a freak who likes the number the 7.

From what you say, he doesn't seem the type to enjoy being there, unless he is in it do to enjoying the company of and seeing fem boys. And hoping to pair up with one some day. If so, then according to this drawing, he got what he wanted.

The main thought I had is that there are plenty of women whom enjoy being a women, and getting to dress up at times also, and don't exactly wish to be a man. But they also don't like looking all to girly either. They like to work out and bulk up on muscle to be strong and fit, wile also still wishing to enjoy being a women at the same time.

The government and political parties are fare from the only ones to blame for any of the messes created the general public has to face and deal with. The public itself has a role in all of that too. I feel, any change for the better, has to start with the opinions and action of the people, and those they help put in charge of running things in any offices.
