Inktober 2019 - Day 21 - Treasure
Inktober 2019 - Day 26 - Dark
It's 2037, the world fell apart 15 years ago when the lights went out for good. Not much has been working since the EMP's hit soon after, it's been a long time since you'd even found a working flashlight.

Looking through a routed house you find a rare treasure; an old cellphone that seemed to not only be working, but still had a good charge despite seemingly being left on for 23 years.

Only thing that goes through your mind isn't "Jackpot!" but "How?!?"

Maybe someone in the trader outpost might know more about this blocky piece of plastic.

Battery life is about the only thing those bricks had going for them :D

This is why I have a smartphone with a battery big enough to last 5-8 days of heavy use. Charging daily is for chumps.

I overuse my phone.  I have the Moto z4 with the battery moto mod usually attached, and I still need to charge nightly

One of my friends has the Moto Z2 Play with the battery motoMod too, I ALLLLMOST bought it as well, but I ended up going with the Ulefone Armor 3. Waterproof, milspec shock/heat/cold resistance, and a stomping 10,000mAh battery that has never lasted less than 5 days yet, even with screen on times of 20+ hours.

The thing has absolutely bananas battery life for a modern smartphone.

I looked at those, but I've always loved the Motorolas, even when flip phones were all the rage.  I actually kinda miss my Nextel i95.  Besides, the Motomod idea just fascinated me way too much, especially the Hasselblad TrueZoom camera, which I absolutely love!

You could bash a zombies head open with that brick! Or, give them brain cancer! >_<

Can the undead get brain cancer? Maybe they are a form of MACRO brain cancer and that's why they always want to eat them?

Those things were also famous for being very hard to break.
