So, given that mana is said to do pretty much anything, it was only a matter of time until people tried to use it on other living beings. Weapons? oh, those were the very first things that got infused, naturally, so, people are next. So, what does it do? Well, it turns out that since mana adapts itself to the structure it is a part of, it mixes itself with the subject's bloodstream. After said fusion, mana will start to manipulate DNA, in order to make the being a proper host, and to stabilize itself inside the system. Now, Mana is a perpetual energy source, so once it fuses completely with the subject, the subject can live perpetually, technically, with no need of food or water, since mana keeps the host alive eternally. However, a life without food and drinks is quite sad for the subject; thankfully there are no downsides or side effects for eating, the mana will just absorb the nutrients and break them up, so, the subject can do so freely. And there we have it. Eternal life. People have been seeking it since the beginning of time. and funnily enough, everybody today is afraid of it, and there are very, very few who actually want to try it out.
It is worth noting that, if the brain is split in a way that pieces aren't in contact with each other, the brain does indeed perish. Yes, a bullet does send pieces of brain flying. So, It's not like it makes the subject completely immortal.
The way mana behaves is quite fascinating as seen in live subjects and every other thing it's been infused on, it flows in perfect geometrical shapes, similar to those found in computers and chips. Why? no one knows for certain, but given that mana is smart, it is very likely it itself somehow seeks...perfection. Time will show more results, as mana keeps improving and manipulating the host. for now everything is fine. lets hope it stays that way.
