The proceeding review was written way back in February ...but the art was made mere hours ago. :3

For the art, I opted to draw Fox as opposed to Franklin himself (albeit, I promise to draw Franklin one day ...though I cherish the show, Franklin is my least favorite character from). ^^

Anyway, for those who don't get the picture (and/or cannot read my chicken scratch), the drawing shows Fox wrapped in his mummy costume ...which is unraveling.

"Mom! I need a pin!"

XD This scenario was taken from the episode we'll be looking at here (it's among my favorite moments).

Halloween never really meant much to me growing up. In those days, my church hosted 'Hallelujah Night' on Halloween, to discourage the children from trick-or-treating.
Hallelujah Night was held at our fellowship hall, offering games (like bean bag toss) from which candy could be won. The church also offered snack plates (with fish crackers, pretzels and a cake slice---stuff like that).
Costumes were discouraged, and there weren't any festive decorations per my recollection. The event was kept simple and practical, to secure our souls safe from the Devil and to save the kids from poisonous treats as well from the pedophiles who distribute them (i.e., our neighbors).

...And not too much has changed on my end---as someone who fears the eternal flames, Halloween remains my least favorite holiday. ^^

...And, yes, I'm aware of the pagan origins of Christmas, etc---humbug to all holidays and merriment, says I! D:

...Anyway.

Franklin. I like Franklin. When I first decided I wanted to learn how to (properly) draw, I began by practicing some of the Franklin cast, esp. Fox and Rabbit. For references, I bought over a dozen Franklin books, as well a DVD of some episodes (Franklin's Turtle Tales).
Eventually, I moved on to drawing HB/WB-styled characters (designwise, HB/WB's more versatile as well easier to draw, hence my present aesthetic).

Concisely, I have a soft spot for Franklin despite the show's many shortcomings.

So, let's look at Franklin's Halloween ...because Halloween. ^^;

Franklin's Halloween is the 'B side'; move to 11:45 on the timestamp.

The synopsis of the story (provided by dailyMotion) reads,

"Everyone creates costumes for the big party that will end with a walk through Mr. Moles 'Haunted House' - alone!"

Right, so... as a disclaimer, anyone with a weak heart and/or struggling with haunted-house traumas: you have been forewarned!
Halloween doesn't get much spookier than that which we're about to go through... so grab your flashlights and let's get going!

The story begins around the midday of Halloween, at the school playground.

Nothing is scarier than school, right? I mean, I'm 38 and I still get jitters thinking about it!

We see Franklin, Bear and Goose conversing about some of the things each likes about Halloween. Beaver and Fox happen along to hijack the conversation.
Beaver and Fox begin an are-not-are-to disagreement on the existence of ghosts, which leads to a mention of the annual haunted-house exhibit ...which the cubs admit was a bit too scary for most of them---only Bear was brave enough to enter the haunted house alone. Even so, Bear is humble about it,

BEAR: "We were just little kids last year. I bet we'll be really brave this year, right?"

The others agree: this'll be the year each'll brave the attraction alone! ...which shouldn't be difficult at all, considering some of them have been through it at least once before, thus knowing what to expect. :P

The cubs enter the schoolhouse, wherein they ask of one another what each will be wearing as costumes. It's decided the cubs will keep their ideas secret, save for Bear, who goes as a ghost each year (how old are these kids?).

For Halloween, my dress will be that of a responsible adult ...I'm sure I'll fool no one.

Anyway...

School's out. Franklin and Bear share the road home together. Along the way, Franklin confesses his apprehensions about entering the haunted house,

FRANKLIN: "...What if I'm too scared to go into the haunted house?"

BEAR: "Aw, there's nothing to worry about, Franklin. ...things are only scary before you know what they are---afterwords they don't seem nearly as bad"

Bear continues his reassurance by offering to go into the haunted house first ...an offer which was overheard by Goose (who appeared from nowhere). And so the other cubs learn Bear will be going in first. :3

At home, franklin pads the episode by trying on different costumes for the party (albeit, there's a loose TMNT reference to be seen here).
Franklin at last settles on a homespun '*Franklin-stein' disguise.

*no, Franklin doesn't have it wrong: 'Franklin-stein' is very different from Frankenstein's 'fiend', otherwise Franklin would be wearing a lab coat. :3
...Digressing, but this reminds me of something from childhood. I asked a friend if he thought it would be a fun idea to shimmy inside the crawl space of his house, to explore it. My friend hesitated: he told me his cousin threw a Frankenstein mask down there, and my friend was afraid of it ...I took the hint, hence the crawl space remains unexplored to this day. :3

It's time for the party! Yeah, it doesn't seem the Woodlanders go trick-or-treating, rather they throw a party at the Woodland Village Square (a somewhat rare location in the series).
One thing I love about this scene (as well the main reason I chose to review this), is for the party's music; it's just digital instrumentation, but it's TOO GOOD for this episode! XD
Seriously, it sounds like a 'real' track---it even has a familiarity to it that I can't place.

Anyway... Franklin's parents walk with him to the party. As they approach, a ghost breezes past!

FRANKLIN (to his mom): "Ha-ha! That's no ghost: it's Bear! He always wears that costume"

Inside the main building, we see some of the characters in their costumes. Goose is disguised ...as a rat (idgi), and Fox is wrapped in mummy bandages.
As for Beaver, we see she's dressed as Baby Bonnie Hood.

...All right, Beaver's really dressed as Red Riding Hood, but a Darkstalkers/Franklin crossover would be ...Stupid (so let's forget it).

*ahem*

After some exchange among Franklin, Beaver and Fox, the time arrives for our heroes to challenge the haunted house! D:

BEAVER (anxious): "Well... who's first?"

FRANKLIN: "Bear. Right?"

FOX: "Isn't he here?"

GOOSE: "No one's seen him, Franklin; he just ...disappeared".

The friends conclude that Bear already went in, and was claimed by the evils of the house.

BEAVER: "Your turn, Franklin"

...On one paw, I'd expect that from Beaver; on the other, that's almost too terrible! XD

BEAVER (continuing): "You called it; you're next in line"

Franklin's peers dare him to venture forth, alone into the threshold of doom.
From the worm-eaten walls of the haunted house, the agonized wailings of a tortured soul howls! D: ...Must be a Frankenstein mask in there! ^^

As Franklin creeps toward the Hell house, he recites the words his friend Bear shared with him on the road, about fear of the unknown.
The door creaks open, seemingly on its own volition, beckoning Franklin's entrance.
Franklin enters the drear hole---the door closes behind him, and a voice receives Franklin from the shadows,

VOICE: "Welcome ...Franklin! MUHAHA!"

A few moments of suspense is all we get before the dimmer switch is raised, revealing the voice as belonging to the friendly Mr. Mole,

FRANKLIN: "Boy, you sure scared me!"

Mr. MOLE: "I'll take that as a compliment to my handiwork, Franklin. Face-tickling streamers; a rope to open my ghostly door, and wooden-spoon skeleton bones!"

FRANKLIN: "Neat"

...I can't tell whether Mr. Mole is dressed as Friar Tuck or Quasimodo. :P

Regardless, Mr. Mole as something interesting to say,

Mr. MOLE: "I must say, you were very braving being the first to come in"

FRANKLIN: "The first? So Bear didn't come in earlier?"

Mr MOLE: "Bear? Oh, no. Poor Bear's home in bed with a very bad cold"

...How does Mr. Mole know this? More importantly, why didn't Franklin (I mean, telephones exist in Woodland, and Franklin and Bear both use them)?

FRANKLIN: "At home? But the ghost... If that wasn't Bear, then who..."

Franklin bursts through the door, to warn his friends waiting for him outside---the ghost from the party (which, incidentally, only Franklin saw) must have been a real ghost! D:

Beaver is skeptical, but her certainty is shaken.

Suddenly, the ghost appears hovering high above our heroes, Ooo-ing with all its Ooo! D:

The cubs scatter, save for Franklin, whose wisdom has emboldened him ...that and the fact of Franklin's notice of a errant feather shed by the 'ghost',

FRANKLIN: "Hey, that's no ghost---that's Mr. Owl!"

GHOST (Mr. Owl's voice): "Happy Halloween, and a scary good night!"

The other cubs apparently witnessed this, and so emerge from their hidingplaces.

To wrap up the episode, Franklin decides it would be a good idea for he and his friends to bring Bear a bag of candy (Bear, being the cliche 'fat' character in an animated series, values candy very highly).

The cubs deliver the goodie bag on Bear's porch. The cubs run off after giving a rap to Bear's door. Bear discovers the bag,

BEAR (to self): "Candies! Those are the best friends a bear could ever ...AH-CHOO!"

I adored every moment of this! XD

CONCLUSION: This is one of those uncommon Halloween episodes that I can relate to---it's about going to a party and NOT being scared. I dunno---just something simple about that to appreciate. :3
The story here is fine. The cast includes most of the main characters (no Rabbit, alas), each of which gets a decent amount of screen time---enough to show off their personalities. Really, there isn't much here to complain about, given the demographic the show's intended for. :3

I remember watching that show growing up but forgotten that episode.

My mother was hyper worried about commited pedophiles (I use the term in a medical sense) so I only ever was allowed trick or treating at stores, Governor's mansion, unbeknownst to her I found lolita, shotaro and cubs at 12 years old, caused a lot of confusion because the topic of pedophilia either that be real or drawn wasn't in her comfort zone. That is the worst thing ever when you're going through puberty while growing up around younger siblings and reletives. Later on after finding all of that cub stuff it made halloween become awkward as hell, I more and more became afriad of myself as I stayed away from that type of content just because my mother had been through child abuse growing up, plus it made playing videogames like the Bully  Scholarship Edition and Fable hard to replay, made playing Majora's mask awkward.

I felt myself become the scary thing then the thing to scare myself.

I know a some non-offending pedophiles (three of whom are on this site, of which two are open about it).
I don't judge that sort of thing, as I've a 'log in my own eye', to paraphrase the Bible, where it pertains to sexual anomaly (that said, I am not myself a pedophile).
Our minds are very plastic, esp. in youth, which is why it's essential to keep adult affairs out of the minds of children (which, thanks to the internet, has become nearly impossible).

I look around here and see many have been 'sexually'  influenced by relatively innocent things, such as scenes from Disney's animated films and the like. I look into my own mind as well, and can see the effects that media and awkward parenting as had on my own sexuality and experiences.

All that said, there is hope; there is strength and a will greater than ours out there if we would place our trust in them. Our afflictions and sufferings are not eternal; this life is not all there is (this is not the end)---both facts I remind myself of during times of anxiety and pain.

I just heavily favor anthro animals, been that way since I first found them so it's not a complete suffering, they fullfiiled that desire for childishness and youth in that way. I looked in to about how the autistic mind has a higher chance of developing fetishes plus of course including potentially dangerous paraphilias but that I think could just be a sample bias.

I have an understanding that it's a one sided thing, I remember when I showed random people just the cub stuff, they thought it equate to actually commiting a crime agianst someone which really hurt me intenally at the time. I like cartoony but I also like realism, kind of a  'Who framed Rodger rabbit?' in a few ways. I often have a taste for the japanese because of their neotious features but when I get to really being familiar with them their children tend to look attractive which is the result I expected to happen. The adults are as sensitive as a child which is a plus but I don't want to go about thinking of them as perfect in every way.

Japan's child sexual assault cases are the lowest I've seen thus far when it comes to the documented crimes of each country, I seen that image going around the internet showing how the EU, Britian and other of those places have had a change in child sexual assault cases from 2014 and onward, increasing from then while places like japan have lowered in such cases. It gave an offical website's name but I forgot the domain's names.

I remember I was favoring an animation reviewer, children's media being a main thing he reviewed on. Zootopia was still at the point of conception, only having a demo reel about on youtube, back when they where marketing to furries. The cub characters are fine in that film, fell in love with Nick Wilde, he bacme a crush, I didn't have too many crushes but Beastar's tackled on more than just race relations and that was a refresser,. Seeing the young version of the characters helped with connecting them when witnessing their adult lives;

Nick Wilde I found cute in the first half, I did connect with his personality some but the thing that got me was the telling of his childhood at the time, I wasn't sure if it was love or sexuality I felt, I just felt sorry for him as a child rather than him as an adult. I coufused parental instincts with a paraphilia, I think in this case both a paraphilic and parental instinct plays around at the same point in time since well enough parenting is something that's naturally come. Some people don't have parental instincts so that helped give that idea out. I found that the kid on the cover for Fable is more attractive than the game's graphic style.

I have autism. I've never been on the neuro-typical side of things, so I cannot say whether one with autism is more or less susceptible to fetishizing, albeit, I would guess the autistic are more likely to indulge in their fetishes than the neuro-typical (who tends to suppress such things, for social reasons).

Timmy is the ghost of my innocence. Innocense must die in order for Maturity to take over. But, as Timmy's experiences had been corrupted, he became a ghost (hence the halo) who haunts my imagination.
There is a slight, sexual tint to Timmy's world, as Maturity has taken over, though Timmy was successful in fighting against it ...at least for a while.
Timmy is designed to be a nude, 8-year-old boy in appearance. My fetish, however, is not for Timmy himself (I 'am' Timmy), but for the scenarios and concepts I've given over to him (some are very abstract).

I am autistic as well, got diagnosed in 2017, at the tail end of the summer.

I tend to have a taste for bushy hair, and a certian body type things, and I think my age range of interest tends to somewhere below 8 years of age, I haven't offended but came close thinking about doing it when I was in a state of homeleness while around my aunt when I stayed at her house for a couple of months, I had no idea that my aunt had friend's who where parents. I hadn't supressed my urges I only had been in denial about them since after somepoint later when I found this site (I was maybe 13 or 14 when I made this account then) though now as I became less self hateful I seen that it is just a place to let out desires in a healthy way. I became 21 as of March 3rd so I found that I am of consent to anyone who may have found attraction towards that age I was. I felt guilty of my attractions for a long while.

On my end, art helped me understand myself as a sexual being. I wasn't absolutely sure whether I was gay, straight, or what, as I had no attraction to people (of any age).
I finally began art therapy, wherein I drew that which appealed to me sexually. That's how Timmy was born. ^^

I analyzed the drawings I'd made, and concluded that it wasn't Timmy I was attracted to (as Timmy represented me), but the scenarios he was in, and the concepts that came along with those that affected me sexually. I learned my sexuality was compromised at an early age, and so was never allowed to develop properly.
In some ways, because my sexuality never matured, mine is like a child's sexuality, hence Timmy (me) is a child. I believe, had I developed properly, I would be straight, hence Timmy is almost always with female characters.
Additionally, it's almost always a one-sided attraction, with the females being the more interested party. This reflects my need to be thought-of as attractive, but also conveys my personal disinterest in sex.

I understand you were at an age many on this site would have thought attractive, had they known how old you were at the time. I can somewhat see the appeal there, for you, but to be honest, we're all at an age someone or other would find attractive (even the very elderly may find/rediscover love). :3

I had a crush with japanese artists at age's like 13, it was from drawn porn of course but then they knew how to accurately draw the bodies of young children, like my goodness! This sort of stuff made me wish I was a parent at a young age, already before I found all of this stuff I use to treat my young cousins as if they where of my age, caused a-lot of confusion since then at 11 years old I seen her as if she had enough understanding of the world to know what is real of fake, It really, really teed me off. I wish they thought to put me to a pedophilic counselor at 15 but even my mother doesn't pay attention towards her own mental health.

Something I found out about what happened in the year 2014 is that the country of japan banned the production and use of real children in pronographic media but still kept things like putting those sorts of fantansies on stuff like comics, writing, artwork and whatever art medium they have interest on I presume, I see videogames as an art medium and seeing that adult flash game on e621 sometime years ago by an artist who goes by Fek, a Lynx sona with a nice color scheme, I honestly wondered how a cub varint would be? (I think that would be too extereme for that artists taste but I would inspire from him no less) I had seen enough porn in my teens to be considered as addicted, got to a point of addiction where I considered looking at the real stuff after finding out what the deep web was due to youtube personalities filming themselves travaling around on there, he had talked about fbi honey pots where they trap people with actual imagery, I was 16 when I took a gander at his deep web surfing, this youtube personality also is against stuff that pertains to harm of a child which makes sense why he warned about keywords on search engines that shown that type of imagery, that caused more temptation which I didn't like. I never took up babysitting as a young teen but I wish I had tried then, though with my case of autism I would easily get into my meltdowns, the last thing I would want a child to see is me having one, I would take myself out of the room where my state of sensory overload ain't seen. People seem to forget that even us on the spectrum can even go through pedophilic attractions, they think only psychopaths and such could find attractions towards such things but honey! They are idiots who cannot tell what up from left is.

I read into the study of paraphilias and paraphilic disorder's and it doesn't say nothing about other mental conditions causing this specific type of attraction, all the DSM-5 reads is that other existing conditions can increase the chance of commiting the act caused by the attraction but dumbasses don't listen nor fact check things. They had a misprint with the DSM-5 and they accidentally put pedophilia as a "sexual orientation" by mistake due to miscommuincation, the wikipedia article got updated and also had been protected as to prevent vandalism of the article so I am taking some trust in to this source, they consider it a sexual interest but a crime when commited which is a big help in self study.

Only religion I had been pushed with is chirstanity due to my mother but other than that my dad hasn't pushed his beilefs on anyone, he has read in to many religions and through that he has learned from his past mistake, a mistake done when I was really young. I have a dirty mind so that gets me thinking another direction but no.. not typically, actually, I hold no religion myself but I have been thinking about how there is a force out there. For awhile I thought elder's held wisdom but my grandmother thinks only one religion matters but in honest I wouldn't think that a power only exists in one thing.

I tend to think god is in more then one beilef, I just tend to see god more or less in young children is all or the concept of god there, I titer on an agnostic view. I believe in freedom of choice. After going through all of that addiction I have understand what pain has caused me, not just due to upbringing but also because of how much I would kill myself for to love.
I would love on boy scout Nick Wilde if he where physically real.

On here I can see how much many could relate to this, but I also see how much people do care enough about children to make themslves not be diluted by fantasy desires. I actually never seen the boyscouts in my life but my dad had tried once to get my attended.

Children symbolize innocence. My Timmy used to incarnate Innocence, albeit he has recently been corrupted and is now on a journey to grow (hence he no longer has a halo).
Innocence is a gift---it is, in a way, a respite in the Garden of Eden. Only thing about innocence is once you realize, internally, that you have (or that you're 'there'), you lose it. Hence, innocence MUST be taken for granted.

To abuse a child is to (essentially) boot them from the garden, to where they can never return. Thus our protection of them is justified.

Sexual based addictions are some of the worst I delt with, when that addiction leads you towards a bad direction one can realize that is not what you actually want to do. People on a role playing group showed in private a pic of an actual child, gone away from the drawn stuff.

I got felt with a big mixture of emotions and felt a sense of rage within build up until I had got to a braking point. When I continued watching japanese content I honestly started to grow more and more worrisome, learned words likeγ€Œγ‚·γƒ§γ‚Ώγ‚³γƒ³γ€&γ€Œγƒ­γƒͺコン」, turns out that when you put those terms in a search engine that keeps your data private while spelt in the  japanese writing system it doesn't go for the anime stuff.

I wouldn't know. I keep away from chatrooms and RP. As I said, I'm not into kids, I just like cub art (specifically my own art, if that's not too egocentric).
