LABYRINTH
My new dark ambient drone album,
is now available on Bandcamp.

67 minutes, pay what you want, no minimum.

I've been working on this in my spare time for most of this year and I'm excited to share it with everyone. This dark atmospheric album features droning noise, piano, and deep bass sounds, sliding among ambient and almost jazz genres before dipping into a bit of doom metal.

If that sounds like your thing, please check it out, and be sure to check out my previous ambient albums as well.

I tried paying $0 as there's no minimum. It said I had to pay at least a dollar

Just literally type 0 into the field and there should be a link to download!

Is it weird I had more fun solving the labyrinth than going for the music? :)

Weird? No. Insulting? Yes.

Don't see how you'd say that it was insulting, but ok.

I mean, you just said you had more fun playing with the box than the toy.
I don't really have a good way to explain to you why that was rude.

"I had more fun doing this basic line maze than listening to the music you've spent more than a year working on"

In your head it probably sounded like "your music was great, but I really clicked into that puzzle and I appreciate the effort you put into it"

But thats not what you said out loud. He put a lot more effort into the music than the cover, and nothing in your message implies you enjoyed the music at all. Just that you liked the puzzle more.

Am I making sense?

Well seeing as I didn't go for the music meaning I never even followed the link to download it no it don't make any sense. As for thinking things are insulting I would think you'd say the guy asking how to pay $0 for it would make you think it was more insulting as if they didn't think your music was worth anything.

sounds like someone needs to go back to preschool, you skipped the "human interaction" lessons

Now who is doing the insulting, but that's your opinion. I still prefer the art to music in general not including not even listening to yours yet because I choose not to get something someone worked on for free. Say whatever you want about me.

What other people may or may not have done to be insulting is irrelevant, and is between them and the artist.

What you did - and I'm trying to explain gently because I feel like social interaction may be something you have a little trouble with - is dismiss something that she worked very long and very hard on, without any kind of context. By saying "I had -more- fun with the puzzle -than- the music," you're implying that the music simply was not enjoyable to listen to.

If you'd said "I didn't listen to the music because I don't feel right doing that without having paid for it(This is the context), but I enjoyed the puzzle you made," that would've been a much more polite way to say what (I think) you meant.

I hope that makes a little more sense.

If you want to discuss it further, you can message me directly, I don't think we need to clutter Immelmann's comments more than this.

"I didn't listen to the music because I don't feel right doing that without having paid for it(This is the context), but I enjoyed the puzzle you made,"

That IS what I tried to say in the first place. Maby I worded it wrong and it got misunderstood I don't know. As for social interactions you might be right on that too being homebound, but I won't go into that. I'll leave it at if it was misunderstood then I apologise, and I won't be commenting any further on this. Thank you.
