The Chupacabra was always a Cryptid that stuck with me if only because of it's media presence and the very real likely hood that it was in fact, real. Well okay, so it was real but by way of just being dogs with mange that attacked livestock but much like the Crooked Man it's always amazing to see how some of the most simplistic things can be exaggerated by the human mind. How something so easily explained was turned into some weird reptilian-rat hybrid that sucked the blood of goats is beyond me but this is why I love urban legends. The human mind, when left unchecked can conjure such ridiculous things and this, again, is the purest essence of what an urban legend is; the human mind left unchecked. Sadly beyond this, there's not much else to be said of the Chupacabra. It's existence is pretty cut and dry, a monster that drinks the blood of goats, nothing more but the sheer fact that it has encapsulated people for so long and breached into countless media references is what makes it of note.
