This was a little gift I had 3D-printed for my RL best mate's birthday a few months back. MediEvil was one of his favourite games when he was a kid, and I figured this was a good way to get him back after he made the OmniWrench 8000 from Ratchet & Clank (MY favourite game) for my birthday last year. We're always trying to outdo each other like that.
Now to be perfectly clear: I cannot and do not take credit for the 3D model itself. I bought it from GCTrader here. I will, however, take credit for everything else, including some tweaking of the model and of course the painting and varnishing. I sanded down the hiltstones that were already on the model and instead used ruby-coloured acrylic rhinestones. For the paint, I used a combination of techniques. The bones, sleeves, sword hilt, and base stand were all done in acrylic paint. I used a Molotow brand liquid-chrome pen for his armour and the blade of his sword. I cannot stress enough how awesome that thing is. It's hands-down the best silver/chrome paint on the market short of real automotive chrome. The gold highlights were Plaid brand liquid leaf in Antique Gold colour. That stuff is super-duper-ultra-mega-toxic, but I can't argue with the results. After letting the chrome cure for a few days, I sealed the whole figurine with three coats of Liquitex high-gloss acrylic varnish.
