This story mainly picks inspiration from the original myth and follows sort of "the original plot", but as you've noticed, there are some (many) changes to it. Other changes are also for example how Katsuki (Persephone) won't be related to Raimundo (Hades) or Vlasta (Zeus).
What comes to Masaru, yes, but he's a bit of a lesser known(?) god(dess) named Eleos, who represents compassion and mercy, since it fits his personality more. Hope that helps! :3
