I just spent time watching the episodes over the week, and HOLY SHIT, I have never seen an anime program so immersive! I got sucked in, literally in the first 10 seconds. Everything going on with these characters I had to know about.And Legosi himself is such a deep character; I find myself connecting with him for some reason--whatever it is, I'm completely fine with it! And you two
were NOT kidding about the Zootopia thing. This is honestly so close that Disney's lawyers really could catch the scent. It's still a remarkable setting, and a truly attention-grabbing plot.
And the animation, Jesus Christ! Never in my life have I seen any animated program—anime or otherwise—with such fluid, natural movement!! I mean, it was absolutely, devastatingly, spellbindingly incredible. I had to watch the costume alteration scene—no joke—eight times, because of how floored and speechless I was at the meticulous attention to detail and smoothness of everyone's movements and expressions. Holy shit, this is a gem. While my foolishly American disposition can't help but imagine an Adult Swim-ed Toonami English dub, I actually don't mind it the way it is! I am God. Damned. Hooked. A compelling story, such relatable and interesting characters, detail and quality that could give Pixar a run for its money, and since it's all anthros, a Rule 34 powder keg! I just noticed the third episode was revealed, so I'm bookmarking that site--hopefully they'll keep going, because this is the wildest ride I've been on since...shit, in terms of anime, I don't even know when.
And now that I've seen it, I can honestly I am amazed by your portrait. It's almost as sharp as the show--almost! And I absolutely want to shower you with gratitude for opening that door through your fantastic art. Shit, if you hadn't drawn this, I never would've known about it. So thank you for conceptualizing it and putting forth such effort into making it look amazing. Well done!
