Based on an upcoming story I'm writing "Jungle Queens" hear is Angel, her sister Crystal and their best friend Rachael playing outside, letting the power of imagination take a hold of them, and enjoying their youths whilst it lasts.

"Angel! Crystal! Racheal's hear!" The sound of their mother's growly voice startled the two lioness sisters from tiding their bedroom. Hearing that their best friend had arrived, filled them both with excitement and they both shot off like bullets, to greet her. Angel and Crystal where both 12 years old and could easily be told apart by their unique colour schemes. Angel's body fur was a rich honey yellow colour, whilst her muzzle, paws and chest fur were cream coloured. Crystal's body fur was ice white and she had watery blue eye's in contrast to Angel's hazel eyes. Angel happened to be the eldest of the two, well only by a few minutes, having left her mother's womb first. The sisters bolted down the stairs and into the hall way to be greeted by their mother Sasha a lioness and their best friend in the whole wide world Racheal, a hyena cub. Like most African hyena's, Racheal had tan coloured fur dotted with light brown speckles. She had long frizzy blond hair and was also around the same age as the lion sisters.
The moment Racheal saw them, she cracked a gleaming smile at them, revealing her pearly white fangs. "It's great to see you girls" Racheal exclaimed as she held out her arms for a group hug, which her friends happily accepted. "So am I" Crystal squealed as she hugged her canine friend tightly. "We are gonna have so much fun!" "I'm sure we will" the hyena girl replied. "I feel it in my blood!" Racheal was spending the night around their place for a sleepover, whilst her parents made their way to her school for parents evening. The young canine had been invited over for sleep overs by the lion sister's countless times, and she'd always had a good time there. Racheal also got along very well with the felines parents as in some ways they were just like family. An a cool aunt and uncle to be more precise. Breaking free from the hug, Racheal turned to speak to Sasha. "Thank you very much for letting me stay hear miss!" "Oh your welcome honey" The adult feline said warmly. "Would you need any help with your bags?" "No, I'm alright miss" Racheal replied politely, before she picked up her backpack and sleeping bag and made her way up the stairs followed by the two lion sisters. "Did you bring the film?" Crystal asked the young hyena, her voice burning with exactment, as they entered their bedroom. "Of course, I did. Tonight, is the perfect opportunity to watch it, especially with two of my best friends in the whole wide world." Racheal then made her point by pulling out a chunky VHS tape from her back pack and handing it to Crystal. "Racheal, you bad girl" Angel told her in a joking tone of voice. "If mum and dad had any idea, we were watching this sort of film, then they'd ground us for life." "Didn't they already ground you for life when you broke down that hornet's nest?" Racheal chuckled. "Oh that thing? They grounded us for a month, but it sure felt like a long time" Angel explained. She then added "Besides it was Crystal that wacked it down, not me."
"Well you shouldn't have dared me in the first place. Especially for your light up unicorn" crystal muttered. A few months ago, the lion siblings had had a near death experience, all thanks to a bet gone wrong and a nest full of wasps. One sunny afternoon they'd been out playing in the woods, when by chance they had come across the wasp hive handing on a tree branch, like a Mexican piñata. Angel had been creeped out by it, not wanting to get stung, when Crystal acted fearless claiming that they were just harmless bugs. Angel had jokingly dared her sister to break to the hive in exchange for a light up unicorn figurine. She though that Crystal wouldn't do it, but to the felines surprise she had. They'd barely escaped the angry swarm without getting stung and ended up falling into a muddy bog. When Crystal had accidently let it slip to her parents, they both gone ballistic, especially their father who had roared at them so loud, the whole neighbourhood had heard him. Anyhow, back to the story.

The door opened and in walked a tall male lion dressed in dark grey business suit. His honey yellow fur seemed to have a glow coming from it. So did the streaks of sliver in his bushy brown mane. "How are my kittens? You girls looking forward, spending an evening all by your selves?" the adult lion asked them. Benjamin and his wife Sasha where both going to parents evening at the local school, then afterwards they'd do some shopping. Rather than getting some one to keep an eye on their daughters, they where letting them stay home alone, for a few hours. "We're all good daddy!" Angel said. "I'm hyped at being home alone. Besides we will set traps in case there are any burglars" she added jokingly. "That's good to know" Benjamin chuckled, before he turned his attention to Racheal. "How are you, my young friend and how is your family?" "Oh, I'm all good Mr" the hyena girl said. "I'm really excited for this sleep over. Oh, and my family are fine. You might bump into them at parents evening." "Ah, good, good. Now as I'm leaving you alone tonight, what are the golden rules?" Crystal was the first to answer. "No playing outside in the back garden." "Exactly! Not in this miserable weather. There's also plenty of mud patches. Now what other rules are there." "Don't answer the door to anyone, unless it's you and mum" Angel said. "Don't cook anything" Crystal added. "That's right! Now what would you do if there's a problem?" Benjamin asked them. "Go to Mrs Clark next door or phone her" Angel replied. "Brilliant! You girls know the rules! Now you'd best say good bye to your mother before we set off." The three girls followed Benjamin down stairs into the hall, where Sasha awaited them, with a warm smile. "Promise me that you'll stay safe girls" the adult feline said as she gave her two daughters a quick hug. "We promise" the sisters said in unison. Sasha then rummaged through her purse and handed them a few bank notes. "You girls order yourself a nice pizza or something. It's my treat as you've been working hard at school." "Alright! Thanks mum" Crystal said. "Have fun you three" Benjamin said. "We should be no more than three hours." With that, two adult felines left leaving the girls alone in the house. Angel watched her parent's drive off in their ford, from the front room window. As soon as it was out of sight, Angel called out "Alright girls! Coast is clear! Let's watch the movie!" Racheal dashed up the stairs, like an athlete to get the tape. "For Pizza, how dose a large pepperoni and a bottle of coke sound?" Crystal asked her sister. "Sounds good to me, sis" the young lioness replied as she set up the tv, plugging it in before switching on the VHS player. Seconds later Racheal returned with the chunky black VHS tape grasped in her paw. "How does a pepperoni Pizza sound for ya, Racheal?" Angel asked her. "Sounds great" Racheal said with a grin, "Are you ready to watch "The Jungle Queen?" "Hell yeah! You bet your tail I am!" Angel squealed. "I've been wanting to see that film for weeks" "Same" Crystal said. "Now, I best order that Pizza" before scampering off to the telephone upstairs. The film of "The Jungle Queen" was about a tribe of lion's living in the African rain forest. The main character was an adult lioness by the name of Amber, known by many as the mighty jungle queen. For a living Amber when about her daily life hunting feral animals for meals, swinging on vines and endured in an intense sport of mud wrestling with her sisters and friends. In one scene, Amber battled and killed a feral crocodile. Just after the crocodile scene their pizza arrived (this was about half an hour into the movie), so they paused the film to pay the husky delivery boy. After they'd shared out the pizza and poured out their drinks, they proceeded to watch the rest of movie. The rest of the film consisted of a lot of action, fight scenes and a fair bit of nudity here and there, as it was made in the 70s. Half way through the film Amber had befriended a young British explorer (a male house cat by the name of Oliver) and the two began to develop romantic feelings for each other. Near the end of the film, Oliver decided to stay with Amber and he was welcomed into their tribe. There was even a naughty scene at the end where Amber and Oliver, strip off into their birthday suits and made out underneath a waterfall. This scene got plenty of giggles from the girls, as it wasn't every day, they got to see naked grown up mammals making out. "Now that was a great film!" Angel exclaimed. "100 minutes of my life well spent." "This is officially my favourite film of all time now" Crystal said as she nibbled on a left-over crust of pizza. "Thanks for bringing it over Racheal." "Ya welcome" Racheal said with a grin. "Besides that, film gets better for every time I've watched it. Well, I sneaked down stairs when my parents when my parents are asleep and watched it, to be more precise." "Aren't you a bad girl" Angel said in a jokey tone of voice. "Anyhow my favourite part of the film would have to be the mud fight Amber has. I also find it interesting how she's able to eat bugs."
"My favourite parts would have to be hunting the feral boar and all the vine swinging. What would your favourite parts be Crystal?" the hyena girl asked her. "Oh for me it would have to be the romance" Crystal replied. "I'm a bit of a sucker for romance movies." Secretly Crystal couldn't wait till she was old enough to find true love and have a boyfriend. She often fantasied about the idea. I suppose it was in her instinct. Racheal carefully took out the VHS tape from the video player, whilst Angel and Crystal finished off the last of the coke from the bottle. "Y' know I wonder if the stuff we witnessed in the film, could actually happen in real life?" Angel said. "It probably could as I've heard that this film is based on a legend that occurred decades ago" Racheal explained. "Besides this film is seems realistic enough to me. Not too cartoony and unrealistic like some live action films I've seen." "Y,know it sure would be fun to have a life like Amber's" Crystal mussed. "Exploring a lush jungle, climbing tree's, not having any school to worry about as well as wearing an awesome loin cloth. It sure would be swell to have a jungle of our own to explore." It was then, when an idea came tiptoeing into Angel's head......
