It is said that a ornary old man by the name of Steve lived here for decades. He could be heard grumbling to himself and yelling and swearing at his poor misfortunate dog. Years went by, his dog passed away and Steve became even more miserable. The times that the neighbors saw him became fewer and farther apart, Until one day the neighbors noticed things were looking overgrown around the house. They realized they had not heard him or seen him for as long as they could remember. They went to the house to check on him. There was no answer but the door was open, so they looked around the house. It appeared he too had moved away or passed.
The story goes that every now and then they can still hear him grumbling....still wandering around the property...too miserable to pass over.
