I had two shots and a blood draw last week, and wanted to draw something to, uh, commemorate the occasion. I still have a damn bruise from the latter... they had to stab me three times to get all the juice they needed.

Anyway. I hope you enjoy the picture more than I enjoyed the circumstances leading up to it. I'm still not drawing in any official capacity, but it felt good to do SOMETHING.

wow, this drawing gives me a funny reminder of when I had pneumonia and had to go to the hospital for benzectacil injection, and I was so nervous in the waiting room that I was barely playing smashbros on 3ds and at the time of the call, IT'S YOUR YOUNG , man I froze with fear when seeing that huge syringe and to get worse, I had to take two in the butt, and before the vaccine the nurse asks sarcastically, -That size and are you afraid? then I answered, -no, I'm thinking of something else, BUT I was really afraid, then I lowered my pants and prepared, and taking the pain had to hold back and not cry, after receiving the injection she said, - MY CONGRATULATIONS, - IT DIDN'T HURT ANYTHING?, - NEXT IN A PLEASE PLEASE?, And I left the room with my legs staggering with pain as I walked, and when she was complaining of pain a girl with her mother was afraid to get injection already who was also in the waiting room or torture, but it was very funny and it was for the good of my health.

That moment when you're just there for a check up and suddenly the doctor says "Hm, it says here you're kid's missing a few shots, want to get em done right here and now?" And your mom is like "Sure, that'd be perfect, save us the trouble of coming back here later" and your response is "HUH!?!" then doctor gets up and says "okay, the nurse will be in shortly with your injections" and shuts the door.

8 year old you then proceeds to sit in the corner having a panic attack and silently wishing hateful things on your mother (God please kill her. She lied to me, "just a check up" liar! liar! liar!) And your mom has the audacity to smile at you and say "Oh you'll be fine" easy for you to say, you're not the one suddenly getting jabbed.

Last time I had one, was in elementary, 8th grade. I was missing with another classmate previously, so the school nurse called us by surprise. Obvious adrenaline rush and shock. xD Even as a lame shy kid, I tried to ask the nurse that we need a parent's permission first. She said something like that it's too late for that and that I'm gonna get it either way. I was prepared for death. xD Even my arm was shaking - they pointed that out and told me it wasn't gonna hurt. Famous last words. :)
Then I got shot, and little did I know, I didn't feel a thing! Not because I died, but because it was the first nurse that ever gave me a pain free shot!

So yeah, such nurses exist, too.

And this execution situation Byron is in, is just perfect! x)

I had three shots in total... two vaccinations and the blood draw (although they had to stab me a few times for that). The blood draw was awful, no question, but the flu shot and the tetanus shot were trivial at best... I was surprised at how much they didn't hurt. But the flu shot came back for revenge a day later, making my shoulder super sore. It only recently stopped hurting.

Where were these relatively painless shots when I was a kid, anyway? That would have made the doctor's visit I had when I was ten so much more palatable...

I heard about repeat stabbing, but luckily it didn't happen to me.
I could use a tetanus reminder (scratched my hand with an axe last winter, but still alive!) - last one was 20 years ago.
I never experienced next-day pain though.
I just had a flu (still kinda do), but I mostly would need a pneumonia shot. Last time was getting near fatal. Probably will kill me when I get old if unprepared.

Oh, any shot before the last one was quite painful. One hurt so bad, I even closed my eyes and died in that moment xD I was such a pussy. Then again I was very skinny, and that one nurse was a stupid one. Probably hit more than just skin/muscles.
