Okay, the context you will get is that Ray and Kenzai are room mates, and no there's nothing romantic between them even though Ray is not afraid of telling the hyena how handsome he is. And laddie is Ray's nickname among some of the members of the Maru clan, especially used by their leader, Kalin.
