Terra tucks her blouse into the waistline of her skirt, she was almost finished dressing.
Jurtt stood about awkwardly for the most part, her mantle in his grip.
“Could I have that back?” she asks.
“Oh, I--well I can help you with that.”
She agrees with a nod.
Tentatively Jurtt makes his way behind Terra to drape the mantel over her shoulders. He reaches his paws around to the front to fasten it together.
Terra leans backwards into him, his paws sitting awkwardly at her collar.
"So how'd you even know where I'd be?" she asks.
"Well your parents said where to look.”
"So that's who to blame."
"You're saying it was intentional?"
"You know them."
"They just want you staying close."
"I guess.”
She looks up at him, their snouts not too far apart. Jurtts paws sliding from her mantle, to under her breast.
She didn’t mind.
“You’re still a perv-”
“I wasn’t!” he interrupts.
“I can feel your dick against my back.”
Jurtt returns to stammering out apologies, Terra could feel him attempting to move away in embarrassment. Her paws grip his tightly, holding him in place.
"It's okay,” she says.
"I guess it won't matter once we're married.”
Terra turns her face away.
“So that’s really moving along?” she asks.
“Our parents have been talking.”
“It makes me feel old.”
“Well it won't be till next year.
The conversation falls quiet, replaced with only the sound of them breathing. The wind blowing through the leaves.
An awkward silence.
“I’m okay with it being you Jurtt,” Terra eventually replies.
“Okay?”
“My parents didn’t know each other.”
“Oh.”
“We should get moving,” she says.
Terra lets go of his paws.
She was finished getting dressed.
Terra passed a bundle of reeds into Jurtt’s waiting arms and they set off towards town, the conversation turning to small talk.
