EDIT: holy high res, Batman, it makes a difference to scan at 600 dpi and save as PNG. When I took this out for re-scanning, I realized it had a BG that hardly showed in the last scan, so I did add some watercolor pencil - now the post scan image actually matches the drawing. Wow. Refrained from changing anything else, though./EDIT
Re-upload. Will only do this with a few pictures; focusing on finishing sketches.
