Despite often being called a tomboy AJ is really quite feminine.

I notice that, I kinda feel that is odd, I feel AJ is a hard worker, can be very feminine and beautiful, but she knows it's counter productive to be very feminine (like Rarity for example) when doing hard farm work.

I confess, Apple Jack really impressed me, I really like her.

She's just a farm girl like and her mama and papa died when she was about 10 and Bloom a toddler (gap child) so she had too harden up in a way no child should, I think she'd have been more like Pear Butter/Buttercup, Bloom would've been a total daddy's filly.
I think when working on the farm she wears overalls or something and her more feminine attire elsewhere.

So true, I admit that plot point was heart breaking to me. I think you are right of the idea of AJ being like Pear Butter, Not to mention their deaths effected Big Mac too. Also you are probably right about Applebloom

I think you are right about Apple Jack's attire, whether in workers overalls or even a skirt and blouse, the pony/girl on the inside is still very beautiful.

I think you are right on the money.

I've seen it before. AJ'd have been more like her mama (somehow I see them calling their parents mama and papa or ma and pa) and BM come off as being about 13 when they died and AJ being 2-3 years younger and any fool can tell little Bloom (only about 11 in the series now) being quite some time later and may have been 1 when they died. I think Burnt Oak has become her papa substitute (grandpa's are different).
And it'll have been a farming accident, it may not seem it but I live in an agro country (New Zealand) and trust me farming is VERY dangerous work. When a flight student (before my health stopped me) I learned of all the horrors of top dressing and how plenty of WW2 pilots were deterred from it (and the RNZAF was among the best trained in the allies).

Or something like Bloom at school, jean shorts and a tee shirt with gumboots (why she wears them at school gets me... they smell!) or sneakers.

I confess what you told me is very impressive and sad too. Yes, Farm work can be very deadly, just saw a documentary on how Jonny Cash's brother died in a farm accident, greatly negatively affected his home life.

I agree they would have called them Ma and Pa, it's sad that they couldn't see their three children grow, but they are happy that they did.

Your probably right about Appleblooms outfit, too bad I don't really know about those shoes.

I take it you, like me, really love our Apple Jack?

Yes it is, Hard to contemplate but that was the world we as a society left behind... Mostly, as I think some bad accidents still happen.

So many people are no longer needed in it. It's where technology first started replacing people.
