I think the imagery is very emotionally compelling. I can only do this kind of stuff in sketches, and as soon as any color gets involved it becomes a horrible muddy mess. And even when, through some fluke, I manage to break through those barriers, I don't fill up the canvas like you do here. I have a very minimalistic, subject specific kind of style that is hard for me to break free of. You have made the entire canvas your subject. Instead of being a snapshot of a character, it has become a snapshot of a moment.
