This story will be about a somewhat shy/awkward/socially challenged human boy who has just moved to a small town, and the events that ultimately lead to him making his first friend there. The story also serves as an introduction of sorts to the setting (I'm still deciding on a name for the setting).
The name and basic appearance of the Da'kor race was originally created by Sarah Ellerton for the comic "Inverloch". Aside from that, everything else about this story, its characters, this setting, and the Da'kor as they exist in it*, is my own work.
I would appreciate any comments or constructive criticism** you might have. This is the first proper story I've ever written that I thought was worth posting somewhere, and I know there is plenty of room to improve. With that in mind, here's a link, I hope it works:
