Here is a character I had been working on. The underlying mesh is low resolution and suitable for a game engine. Much care was taken to create the uv maps and avoid unsightly texture seams.

It looks great, but there' something a little odd about the eyes that I can't quite put my finger on. Perhaps a lack of shadows cast from the face?

Yeah the eyes are a little off. They were just stand in spheres.
