I had a weird daydream today. At least, pretty sure that's what it was. It wasn't long after he left, and I was sitting at home when some stranger knocked on the door. I don't know if there were introductions or not, cause the next moment, we were both sitting at the table across from each other. They were wearing...robes over themselves, so I couldn't see their face.
Casual conversation followed for a few back-and-forths. I couldn't distinguish their voice. It was kind of...I don't know. Not normal, but not unpleasant either. Eventually, though, they asked about a magic wand.
Wand, I said, don't really recall. They asked me to think really hard, which kind of hurt a little to be honest. But then I remembered, in this very notebook, about one.
That's right, he had one with him. But magic? No, I hadn't seen anything like that. It was just some old looking bauble....right? Then again...how did he defeat that Koopa before he...? I can't quite....
I remember the visitor switching the topic then, much to my relief. They asked if I had anybody I cared about. I was cautious at that question, but eventually I talked about him.
I kind of...spilled things out. I didn't know where he was, which kept him safe just in case, but I talked about a lot of things. It felt good to relieve those moments, even if from a stranger's prodding.... Like how I fixed up his bed when he kept falling out...or that time he I had to get him out of drabby clothes because he had fallen into some cabbage shop....or...
I went on for a long while...and before I knew it, the stranger left. But...they didn't use the door. One moment, and they were gone. Just like that. I swear, I was looking RIGHT at them too.
Maybe it's just loneliness creeping in. Sure, the town's treating me less like an outcast since he helped out...
....I'm SURE I saw someone....I'm SURE I was talking to someone....they were so real I can't...
Maybe I'll ask in town again...discreetly. If nobody says anything then I don't know...
