Red Mages have existed throughout the series, and while distinct from the Bard class in the Final Fantasy games, they still share a lot of similarities with the D&D Bard class. I've actually partially leveled the Red Mage class in FF14, though currently all I'm actively playing is Summoner/Scholar, Dark Knight, and Dancer.

2 Just doesn't hold my interest for some reason, but maaaan I appreciated the swap to MP for 1 in that remake, I loved the D&D-esqueness of spell slots but they're a pain in the ass in D&D, much less in a video game where I'm expected to be casting nigh upon all the time.
