Character Sheet for Crystal Dragon
Nickname(s)
Yesh, Gosh, Golly, Good God, Good Lord, Jebus
Character Description
A quadrupedal dragon some 100 feet in length from snout to rump, with crystalline scales that are transparent under certain lighting conditions allowing people to see and be afraid of his muscles and some other organs immediately underneath. Covered in major scars which will never fully go away as a badge of honor for the death he underwent to save the world, including a scar all the way around his neck from having been fully decapitated.
Personality
Merciful, compassionate, and just. Completely without flaw to the point that you should be afraid even if you're on the whole a good person.
Is willing to forgive literally any horrible, wicked thing of someone who is truly repentant (and is able to flawlessly tell the difference between sincere remorse and someone faking it).
Is also willing to make a huge scene in a temple, smashing and overturning tables, and disrupt social conventions when these contradict his and his father's teachings to a sufficient degree.
He does not take sides in mortal conflicts like the choices of how to govern (democracy, republic, or monarchy?) but sometimes when there's multiple political sides, one of them chooses him more than the others do (he would never stand for people killing babies, for example, and abhors promiscuity and same-sex intercourse even between consenting adults).
Likes/Dislikes
Likes sheep, fish, coarse wheat bread, and red wine as far as foods go and exclusively eats kosher but doesn't require his followers to do the same.
Enjoys dinner with friends (of which he has millions, and growing, without any loss or limitations in how intimately he knows any of them), resting on Saturdays, and all artistic media.
Background/History
The son of the Creator's Creator incarnated into a draconic body, the Crystal Dragon spent the better part of the world's first century performing miracles and spreading his teachings that form the basis of Lawful Good society.
Made mortal to redeem a world of flawed mortals, he was at one point barraged by demons and demon-possessed monsters, stabbed and beaten many times, and beheaded. Buried under a pile of Rocks Fall Everyone Dies so heavy it could not be moved even with a strength score of nine thousand and a Lifting skill of 35, he remained dead for three days and was further tormented by the demons in the underworld. Swallowing every damned soul who was willing to leave (and seriously, who would want to stay in hell?), he raised himself from the dead, casually tossing aside the pile of rocks and reattaching his head, he flew up to heaven and released all the souls he just saved.
Flying back down, he took up the very axe that was used to chop off his head and used it to lay holy smackdown on the demons, driving them back into hiding. He gave this axe to his main disciple Peter who passed it on to his successor, thus making it the Axe of the Apostles.
The Crystal Dragon now sits up in Heaven, swooping down to swallow the soul of anyone who worships Him sincerely and rejects evil to save them from an afterlife of torment, releasing them once he gets home. He also empowers thousands of clerics to use supernatural powers in the continued fight against evil, being the ultimate source of exorcisms and the class features Lay On Hands and Turn Undead.
Relatives/Family
Only begotten rather than created son of the One True God of Gods,
Laid by a virgin dragon named Mary and hatched on December 25 sometime in the first century of the world's history, raised by her and her mate Joseph until he became an adult and started his ministry
Mary and Joseph had many relatives. It's not clear if they had any children after him, just that she was a virgin beforehand, and nobody involved sees this as important enough an issue to weigh in on, leaving some in-fighting between different Crystians convinced she stayed a virgin forever and those that think the two had their own biological offspring after the miracle was done.
World/Setting
Standard D&D setting with more furries, basically, in which He is the most-worshiped Good deity.
