This picture premiered at the Eurofurence 25 art show.
It's a sequel to a picture I did last year, called "Dreams". Originally I didn't set out to create a follow up of a piece I did for the previous Eurofurence. I started sketching out some ideas and I ended up liking the expression of the lion so much, that I wanted to expand on it. I realized that it would serve as a great sequel to the picture from 2018. But when the picture started taking shape, it ended up looking much more like a medieval/fantasy themed pic than cyberpunk. It really had me in a spot of bother because I didn't want to just slap cybernetics on the character. So I instead tried to show his character growth in subtle details like his different mane, the scars on his body and also the cybernetic fingers that he had replaced. I think it works quite well and tells a bit of a story on its own. After I had the character looking the way I wanted, I could move on to the background. Working on it was a lot of fun for me because I could use a lot of different company logos from all sorts of different media that I liked.
The finished picture is definitely something I am proud of and I'm glad that somebody liked it enough to purchase it. :3
Enjoy!

Anther example of your absolute GIFT for musculature and texture! The fur, the arms, the mane, the bones in his hands, all of it has its own feeling. You've given him a world to live in and the surrounding background adds to the realism and the depth of your subject.
