So for my aural skills IV class midterm project, i had to create a harmony to accompany a folk melody from one of our exercise books. the song had to be in a modal key and so i decided to make it easy on myself, i would do it in a jazz standard style with just simple lead sheet notation. well i liked what i did so much that i went back and wrote my own melody to go over the chord progression i already had made. then i expanded the ensemble to be more like a real jazz combo added some improvised solos!
this piece was about a year and half in the making because of all the rework and busy life schedule. Im so glad to finally have this submission posted, and on my birthday of days!
