"They call them hunters, professional killers. They'll take nearly any job, as their guild requires, so long as it brings their group honor and prestige. Sometimes it's an escort, sometimes an assassination. If one needs something dead, be it man or beast, the hunters are called. However, these two were different. The tall one wielded a spear, no, more like a halberd of exotic origin. He also had some form of extra-ordinary magical ability. Unusual for a member of their order. The other looked strange, almost like a shade of something real. I don't know what I'm saying. He just didn't look right.
The tall one? No, He didn't look Xarinian, or at least I couldn't make out any horns atop his head, but he used similar abilities to one. Besides, do you know of any Xarinian that wears pants? Those near-nudists are a bunch of freaks anyway! Right, I'm off track. He made short work of our defenses. We couldn't even get close to him. Those few who did were killed by the halberd. It was horrible. When are those hard-light weapons going to be more regulated?! Right, sorry...
The other had incredible strength and ferocity. Magical abilities? I can't say I saw any. However, he had strange markings on his forearms. No, they weren't tattoos, it almost looked like they were naturally a part of his body, like he was born with them or grafted onto his body. What he lacked in magical abilities he made up for in sheer brute force. While the tall one kept us distracted with the magic, the other dispatched us with cruel prejudice. We were able to surround him, the tattooed one, for a moment. We were so close we could just taste his death on our tongues. But somehow, just somehow, he managed to turn the tide on us, taking out three with one swing.
After that we gathered the survivors and retreated. Those two freaks didn't pursue. That's all I know."

Trying out a writing style with the dialogue to expand on some of my story ideas. Can't say any of it is totally 100% official, but it's a whole bunch of different thoughts that I'd like to elaborate on a bit more. One of the problems with this writing style, however, is it falls into the criticism of "show don't tell".
This image is sort of a recreation of a much older project from a long time ago, I've Got Your Back with even parts of the background being re-used. Also, first time in a long while (October 2018) since I drew my oc Cynthor who has a pivotal part in the story I'm developing.
