Just a comparison my most recent way of shading and my usual way.
The new version has everything the old one has, and it includes lens-flares, new layer of darker shadows, a layer of light hitting the subject, a new layer of different colored shadows to help the subject not look like a plastic doll but more like an organic being (your skin is a bit transparent so it's not the same exact color throughout, I wanted to capture that). And I also started adding a subtle noise filter.
The noise filter and lens-flare is my attempt at making it look more like a photo taken by a camera rather than the art looking like a flat digital drawing.
