Anyhow, this is Harry the Happy Dragon. Harry is the mascot of Harris-Teeter: a supermarket chain mostly known in Eastern half of the USA. Harry may often be seen at Harris-Teeter stores in the form of a Kiddy ride---the kind that plays music as it gently rocks back and forth. :3
Harry's had other incarnations, but the one I'm most familiar with is the plushie. I've never seen the plushies for sale at any Harris-Teeter store, but I have twice come across them at my local thrift shop. The fIrst Harry I bought for $0.25 and flipped (rather quickly) on eBay for $9.99 ...the story of the second Harry plushie I bought from the thrift was the same.
My story testifies that Harry has a fanbase out there somewhere ...stalking eBay for Harry plushies (they may even be doing so right now)! *shivers*
Anyway, I live near a Harris-Teeter, so for the unfamiliar (ie, most of you), I'll give my concise description/opinion.
Harris-Teeter is a large supermarket with middle-of-the-road prices. Mine has an extensive wine and beer cooler, as well a pizza kiosk whereat the pizza is made by hand. It's all quite nice, if not a bit unfocused---it quite literally sells about every major food brand one can think of (think 'Coke, Cheerios, Snickers', etc).
Having my choice, I prefer more specialized stores, such as Wholefoods (pricer, but but it's 'real' food [usually] and is smaller; I know where everything is).
Anyway... Dragon. :3
